Valerie Ratts (West High 1979) is an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at Washington University’s School of Medicine in St. Louis.
When Ratts decided that the field of medicine was the right choice for her, infertility treatment and polycystic ovarian syndrome were new on the horizon of medical research. But today, treatment for those and other debilitating gynecological conditions that affect women are available thanks to the continuing research and applied knowledge of Dr. Ratts and her team.
Ratts has received national recognition for her work in this area.
