alperMark Fauser

Central 1979

Mark Fauser graduated from Central High in 1979 and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia. He currently resides in Marion, IN.

Mark has truly achieved his dream of "making it" in Hollywood. His credits are many and impressive. He co-wrote the film "Waking Up in Reno," which starred Billy Bob Thornton, Charlize Theron, Patrick Swayze and Penelope Cruz. Mark also co-wrote the Showtime original movie "The Right to Remain Silent." The critically acclaimed film starred Lea Thompson, Robert Loggia, Carl Reiner and Judge Reinhold.

Mark's proudest moment was when he wrote, directed and starred in his first feature film entitled "It's All About You." The low-budget independent feature stars John DiAquino, Sally Kirkland, Dom Deluise and Mark. It is based on Mark's play that ran for one year, every Friday night, at the Tamarind Theater in Los Angeles.

Along with his writing partner, Mark has worked on scripts for Columbia, Universal, Paramount and Dimension Films. His writing origins may have begun as a student at the University of Missouri, when he wrote, produced and directed variety shows which featured two unknown talents, Sheryl Crow and Brad Pitt. Among Mark's acting credits are roles on the television show "JAG," "Coach," "Evening Shade," "Quantum Leap" and many others.

He has starred in over 40 different stage plays, including "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Brighton Beach" at the Burt Reynolds Jupiter Theatre. He also appeared in the world premiere of "Eleven Zulu" at the Kennedy Center Theatre. "Eleven Zulu" won more American College Theatre Festival awards than any other play.

Through his many experiences, Mark has had the opportunity to work with a variety of talents, including Thornton, Reynolds, Jimmy Stewart, Ossie Davis and Carol Burnett.
