Susan E. Hamra graduated from Central High in 1974. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor of arts in linguistics in 1978 and with a law degree in 1982. She resides in Chesterfield, MO.

Susan established the Hamra Law Firm, LLC in 1989 and maintains the practice today. The firm concentrates on estate planning, probate, family law and small business. She has extensive mediation and guardian ad litem training.

Mayor Nancy Greenwood of the city of Chesterfield nominated Susan and she was approved by the city council as prosecuting attorney for the city of Chesterfield. She served in that position from 1998-2001, concurrent with her law practice. She was also appointed investigator for the Bar Association of Metro St. Louis fee dispute committee.

Susan has contributed her knowledge and skills to advance Chesterfield and the St. Louis community in the areas of racial and ethnic equality, social justice, economic development, and women's and children's rights. She currently serves as the representative to the Metropolitan Congregations United working for race relations and improvement in living conditions in the St. Louis area.

The needy in our community have benefited from Susan's time as vice chair and chair of Metro Ministry Board of Directors and as chair of several of their committees. She keeps children as a priority and contributed her skills as an active member of the Cardinal Glennon Hospital Board of Planned Giving.

Susan has served as a lecturer in estate planning for various civic and community groups, including retired teacher associations, adult education programs, churches, women's groups and financial services corporations. She has held various leadership positions in her church as well as the Creve Coeur Kiwanis club.
