Brian Krolicki

Brian K. Krolicki graduated from West High in 1979. He has a bachelor of arts in international relations from Stanford University and attended the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University. He resides in Carson City, NV.
In 1998 Brian was elected as the 19th treasurer of the state of Nevada, and was reelected to that position in 2002. He has used his position and influence to significantly contribute to the economic and financial strength of the state. His stewardship of the state's finances has maintained the state's bond ratings through difficult economic times, saving the state and its taxpayers millions of dollars.
Brian has been recognized for his leadership skills by being unanimously elected by his colleagues to serve as president of the National Association of State Treasurers (NAST). In that position, he leveraged a collective $1.1 trillion in state funds to ensure that reforms of our nation's capital markets protected the "mom and pop" investor, as well as institutional investors.
In 2003 Brian rang the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and testified before the NYSE committee on corporate governance. He is the founder and chairman of the NAST committee on corporate governance.
The Association of Public Treasurers of the U.S. and Canada awarded Brian a certification of excellence award in 2002 for the investment policies of the Nevada General Portfolio and the Nevada Local Government Investment Pool. He was recognized as a Toll Fellow in 2001, a designation that recognizes the best and brightest of the nation's leaders form all three branches of state government.
Brian serves on the board of directors of the American Cancer Society's southwestern U.S. division and the Nevada Desert Research Institute.
